Information about visa

As of my last update, Latvian citizens, who are also EU citizens, do not need a visa to enter Greece for stays of up to 90 days within a 180-day period. This applies to tourism, family visits, and business trips. Greece is part of the Schengen Area, which allows for passport-free travel between member countries.

For stays longer than 90 days, or for other purposes such as work or study, Latvian citizens would need to apply for a national visa specific to their circumstances.

It's always a good idea to check the latest travel advisories and entry requirements before traveling, as immigration policies can change. For the most accurate and up-to-date information, it's best to consult the Greek embassy or consulate, or the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Latvia.

Сlimate

Greece enjoys a Mediterranean climate, characterized by warm, dry summers and mild, wet winters.

Summer (June to August): Hot and dry with temperatures often exceeding 30°C (86°F), ideal for beach holidays.

Autumn (September to November): Warm and pleasant, great for exploring historical sites with fewer tourists.

Winter (December to February): Mild in coastal areas, colder with snow in the mountains, suitable for city visits and winter sports.

Spring (March to May): Warm and lush, perfect for outdoor activities and sightseeing before the peak tourist season.
